The OVO Network Review
Chalet Le Petit Mazot is a beautiful two-storey chalet for four guests, with two bedrooms and a bathroom.
It's in a great location, in a quiet road near the lift and just a short walk from the centre of La Clusaz.
Developed from a former storage building, it's now a really well-appointed chalet, with a cosy living room and a good-sized kitchen/dining area, as well as a separated laundry room.
The two double bedrooms share a shower room.
There's a surprising amount of outside space at this well-designed chalet, with a large balcony on the first floor and several seating areas on the ground floor, including a dining area and a beautiful terrace just off the living room with built-in seating.

From the owner
Ludovic M.
“A “Mazot” was originally a type of small Savoyard shed built on agricultural land - this particular one was only 16m2!
Traditionally, mazots weren’t used as living spaces but as safe places to store the family’s precious goods and belongings such as cereals, the harvest, seeds for the coming year, Sunday best clothing and shoes, paperwork etc. Mazots were always located a distance away from the main building to keep them safe from the risk of fire.
The mazot which became the chalet “Petit Mazot” was built in 1851 by a man named François Clavel. 100 years later it was transferred onto a concrete base measuring 5m x 6m in order to provide solid foundations before it was turned into a proper house.
Today Le Petit Mazot is still owned by my family.
For a few years now we’ve been rebuilding it; we’ve enlarged it and refurbished it to turn it into a cosy and unique pretty mountain chalet with thoroughly modern equipment.
